Paul D. Motta is Principal - Leasing with Urban Retail Properties, LLC. Mr. Motta has been with the company since 1992 and oversees all property leasing for the company’s retail portfolio.
In his previous position with Urban, Mr. Motta was responsible for major department store negotiations, all large box lease negotiations, oversight of the Southern Region leasing including all community centers, selling and leasing of peripheral land, creating redevelopment strategies for under-performing assets, cultivating new business, and maintaining relationships with national and regional tenants.
Mr. Motta’s tenure with Urban Retail began with his position as a Property Manager/Leasing Representative, responsible for 11 shopping centers in Florida. Eventually those successes led to executive positions both regionally and nationally in Management and Leasing.
Mr. Motta has been directly involved in the pre-leasing of 10 ground-up developments ranging in size from 190,000 to 1,300,000 square feet. He has also been instrumental in a number of re-development projects across the country.
Prior to joining Urban Retail, Mr. Motta was a Property Manager for Commercial Management Corporation from 1989 – 1991, and from 1988 – 1989 he was a Project Manager with Lenk Construction. Mr. Motta received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Florida, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and holds a Real Estate License in Florida.
