The success of each property in our portfolio ultimately depends upon the success of its tenants. Therefore, we closely monitor the profitability and occupancy costs of each tenant in order to anticipate any successes or potential failures.

The Urban Retail Property Management Department oversees every property's operation. Day-to-day functions include:

  • Collecting and disbursing of monies in a timely fashion
  • Preparing reports and the annual budget
  • Monitoring and maintaining on-site staff
  • Managing tenant rent and lease issues, including recoveries
  • Improving every aspect of the center's operating efficiency
  • Representing the center in the community

Our properties benefit from the economies of scale associated with managing a large portfolio. The Property Management Department also investigates and implements programs relating to energy conservation and recycling. All of these initiatives allow us to operate our properties more efficiently. Urban's Management departments are always developing ways to increase the value of all our properties. We meet regularly with suppliers and industry leaders to be sure that our properties benefit from the newest and most innovative products and programs.
